Our Mission...
Our mission is to promote ForwardProgress™ within the African American community and to oppose the usage of racial epithets by ALL.
Everything now, we must assume, is in our hands; we have no right to assume otherwise. If we do not falter in our duty now, we may be able, handful that we are, to end the racial nightmare, and achieve our country, and change the history of the world.
- James Baldwin
Why?
Why now? The opportunity for change as we understand it, has presented itself numerous times, and our reaction as awhole has been utter silence at best. It has been over 60 years since inequality has been eradicated, yet there are still instances in today's society in which we still face the harsh parameters of injustice. If "we" do not respect ourselves, why should anyone else. With Pride follows Power, and with Power birthes Progress...The "N" Word Is Out.
- Pride
- Power
- Progress
PRIDE is an emotion which links to a strong sense of self-respect. In gaining self-respect we as a people gain POWER and that will be the first steps of PROGRESS.
About Us...
We are two African American college students who feel that it is time for change and forward progress within the American culture. We feel the best way to start change is by starting with our own community first. Will a t-shirt change an entire society? No, but YOU can by ridding your vocabulary of racial slurs and replacing it with intelligent thought.
